1. Who we are
Cine GO ("app", "we") is an app that recommends movies and series using artificial intelligence, available for Android and iOS. The controller of personal data is MV Desenv. e Assessoria em Sistemas Ltda (trading name Beptus Tech), CNPJ 36.086.663/0001-18. For any privacy matter, including contacting the data protection officer (DPO): contato@cinego.com.br.
2. Data we collect
Account. When you sign in with Google (Android) or Apple (iOS), we receive an account identifier, your email (or Apple's relay email, if you choose to hide yours) and, if you provide them, a display name, username and profile photo.
Profile (optional). Date of birth, gender, country and preferred language, plus preferred movie genres and favourite or blocked actors. We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as racial origin, religion, health or sexual orientation).
App usage. Ratings of titles (liked, disliked, not interested), your list, recommendation sessions and the recommendations generated, messages exchanged in the AI chat (PRO plan), feedback comments and score data (Cine Score).
Guests. You can add guests (people without an account who watch with you) with name, photo, preferences and demographic data. See section 7.
Social. Friendships, feed events (rated, added to list, watched), ratings visible to friends and the last time you were active.
Device. Notification token, device model, system, app version, language and time zone.
PRO subscription. Product, status, dates, automatic renewal, country and price paid. We do not receive or store card data: payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store.
Diagnostics and aggregated usage. Crash reports (Crashlytics), without email or account identifier. Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) only with your consent.
Advertising (free plan). Google's ad SDKs may process the device's advertising identifier and technical data. Personalised ads depend on your consent (and, on iOS, on the system's tracking permission).
Reports and blocks. If you report a profile, we store who reported, the reported profile, the reason and the text you write, only for moderation. If you block someone, we store who blocked whom, so that you stop seeing each other in the app. The moderation alert reaches our team through an internal messaging tool, with the reason, the usernames and the report text, and no email.
3. What we use it for and the legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (LGPD / GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Create and maintain your account and provide the service (recommendations, list, social, chat) | account, profile, usage, guests, social | performance of a contract |
| PRO subscription, billing through the stores and tax records | subscription | performance of a contract; legal obligation |
| Fix failures and keep the app stable | crash reports | legitimate interest |
| Usage statistics | usage events | consent |
| Personalised ads | advertising identifier | consent |
| Security, fraud and abuse prevention, usage limits | account, device, technical logs | legitimate interest |
| Profile moderation (reports and blocks), to enforce the terms of use and protect users from abusive content | reports, blocks | legitimate interest |
| Marketing communications and partner offers | email, preferences | consent (adults only) |
4. Artificial intelligence
Recommendations and the chat use Google's Gemini model. To generate a recommendation we send titles that you rated, preferred or blocked genres and actors, the names of the people in the session and the app language. In the chat we send your message and the title under discussion; when the conversation calls for it, the model also looks up your taste (titles you loved or rejected, favourite or blocked actors) and that of the people you added as companions. The answer may use Google Search. We do not send to the model date of birth, gender or email. By default we do not store the text sent to the model; if a technical log is turned on for a limited time for diagnostics, it is deleted within 30 days. AI answers may contain errors.
5. Who we share it with
We use providers that process data on our behalf: Google (Firebase: sign-in, photo storage, crash reports, statistics, notifications, remote configuration and app verification; Gemini; AdMob; Google Play), Apple (sign-in and App Store), Cloudflare (network and security), Locaweb (servers in Brazil) and The Movie Database (TMDB) (title catalog; it receives only searches, with no account data). We do not sell personal data. We may share data when required by law or by an authority.
6. International transfers
Some of the providers (Google, Apple, Cloudflare, TMDB) process data outside Brazil, including in the United States. These transfers follow the safeguards provided for in the LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law, art. 33) and, for people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the standard contractual clauses adopted by the providers.
7. Guest data
When you add a guest, you declare that you have that person's authorisation to provide their data (name, photo, preferences and, if you wish, date of birth, gender and country). We do not ask for sensitive data from guests. Guests are deleted together with your account.
8. How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (in the app, under Profile → Delete Account, or on the Delete account page), we delete your profile, photo, guests, friendships, ratings, list, sessions and recommendations, chat, feedback, devices, notifications and score. We keep, without identifying you, the subscription records required by law and proof of the consents you gave. Backups are deleted within 30 days. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription in the store: cancel it on Google Play or the App Store.
Reports and blocks are deleted when either of the two accounts involved is deleted.
9. Your rights
You may, at any time: confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, request anonymisation, blocking or deletion, request portability, find out who we share it with, withdraw consent and object to processing based on legitimate interest. In the app, you edit your profile, manage consents and delete your account; for everything else, write to contato@cinego.com.br. We reply within 15 days. You may also complain to the ANPD (Brazil) or to the data protection authority in your country.
10. Children and teenagers
Cine GO is not directed at children. Anyone under 18 must use the app with the permission of their parents or guardians. Users whose adult status has not been confirmed do not receive personalised ads or partner offers. If you know that a child has sent us data without such permission, contact us.
11. Security
Encrypted connections (TLS), app integrity verification in the AI functions, immediate revocation of sessions, administrative access with two-factor authentication and an audit trail. No system is completely invulnerable; if a relevant incident occurs, we will notify you and the authority as required by law.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The version and date are at the top; relevant changes will be announced in the app.
